Three traditional rulers in the Northern Region have endorsed the second term bid of President John Dramani Mahama.
The chiefs namely the Vo-Naa, Mohammed Abdulai Bawa of the Voggu community, Gbulun-Lana, Aminu Sulemana and the Zangbalun- Naa Dr Jacob Mahama Yakubu.
The Chiefs made the endorsement when the Vice President, Mr K. B. Amissah-Arthur, paid courtesy calls on them as part of his campaign tour of the Northern Region.
The Vo-Naa, Mohamned Abdulai Bawa said "Ghanaians are witnessing massive infrastructural development across the country and that is being made possible by President Mahama".
"People have seen what has happened within the last three years and they would need a continuation of it," he said.
The Vo-Naa said President Mahama has laid a good foundation and it is imperative that he is given the chance to continue his works.
"The President was given the opportunity to serve in the year 2012 and once the opportunity is there for him to serve again, he must be supported to win," he said.
For his part, the Chief of Zangbalun, Dr Mahama Yakubu also endorsed the second term bid of President Mahama.
He urged the electorate to come out in their numbers and vote massively for President Mahama on the December 7.
Mr Amissah-Arthur commended the Chiefs for the warm reception and pledged the government's commitment to continue changing lives and transforming Ghana.
He said "we have come here with peace in our hearts and development as our vision".
