International auditing firm, KPMG, Tuesday formally opened its Development Advisory Services (DAS) hub in Accra to work with development partners to serve selected countries in the West African sub-region.
Ghana thus joins a growing list if hubs within KPMG Africa, which are committed to offering development advisory services on the continent.
The DAS was established in 2007 in recognition of the fact that professional service organisations have a critical role to play in Africa’s development.
KPMG, in a statement issued at the opening of DAS, said the establishment of the DAS was ample testimony to the organisation’s commitment to supporting the continent’s development.
“With a core team of over 150 professionals across the continent, backed by an extensive network of specialized consultants and the benefits of one of the world’s largest professional service providers, KPMG Africa DAS is [poised to offer] professional advisory services for governments, development partners, private organizations and charities engaged in all aspects of regional, national and local development,” the statement said.
It said DAS uses the pan-Africa approach to development work and will rely on its experienced experts to appropriately advise government and other organizations.
