Mr Paul Evans Aidoo, Western Regional Minister, on Monday gave the assurance that the road network linking Beyin and Tikobo and its surrounding communities will soon be tarred to help speed up the development of the Jomoro District.
He gave the assurance when he paid a courtesy call on Ewulae Annor Adjaye 111, Paramount Chief of the Western Nzema Traditional Area at Beyin.Mr. Aidoo said that contracts would soon be awarded for work to begin on the second phase of work on roads, particularly in cocoa growing areas throughout the country.
The Minister also said he and the Jomoro District Assembly will provide four ICT centres to give on-the-job training to the youth in the district on the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Aidoo, however, expressed concern about the negative attitude of some communities in the district that nearly disrupted the Nawuley Limestone and the Bonyire Processing Plant Projects and, therefore, called on the people to support the Assembly’s development initiatives.Source: GNA
