Investigations have begun into the death of a 27-year-old police officer in Bawku in the Upper East Region. Constable Philip Darko was found dead whilst on duty at the Kulunguugu police station. It is not clear what caused his death, but police have ruled out foul play. Bawku Divisional Commander, ACP Boadu Peprah told Joy News close examination of the body didn’t reveal any indications of foul play. He said the late Philip Darko was on duty with another colleague and they both retired to bed together but the next morning, the deceased was found dead on his bed. ACP Peprah said the father of the deceased had come for the body and conveyed it to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Source: Joy News/Ghana
