Chairperson of the Electoral Commission Charlotte Osei was at a Christian event organised by women's group Aglow where she prayed for peace before,during and after the December 7 general elections.
The event was captured by Church of Pentecost's TV channel, Pent TV. She prayed that God should shame the enemies of this country bent on disrupting the peace and declared a divine outcome in the general elections.
She prayed for the safety of electoral commission officials and electoral materials and prayed against any destructive abuse of social media.
The electioneering season in Ghana is also a season for peace campaigns and prayer events.
Ghanaians head to a keenly contested polls in barely 15 days. For the past two weeks, three clashes between the two favourites the governing NDC and the main opposition NPP have been reported.
