Economists and analysts could as early as next month get to know the performance of the economy in the first three months of the year.
It will mark the first ever release of the quarterly provisional Gross Domestic Product estimates.
Officials of the Ghana Statistical Service tell Joy Business an external consultant is expected to review the work done so far before it is published.
The Head of Economic Statistics, Ebo Duncan said the GSS adopted the quarterly measurement of the economy because it is the best system of monitoring how the economy is doing.
The Ghana Statistical Service is also planning to announce the final GDP figures for 2010 currently estimated at 44 billion Ghana cedis.
