President John Evans Atta Mills has relieved some Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives of their duties with immediate effect.
The casualties include the MCE of the Secondi/Takoradi, Mr. Kobina Pra Annan and the MCE of the Hohoe Municipal Assembly, Mr. Victor Herman Condobrey.
The others are Mr. Joseph Jone Amoah - Ahanta West District Assembly, Mr. Moses Kofi Armah – Bibiani/Anhwiaso/Bekwai District Assembly and Mr. Victor Nyianyi Kablan of the Jomoro District Assembly.
In a release signed by the Secretary to the President J.K. Bebaako-Mensah Wednesday afternoon, the ministers of the respective regions have been asked to oversee the administration of the Assemblies affected until new chief executives are appointed.
The reasons why the MMDCEs have been sacked are not immediately known.
