The flag bearer of the Independent People's Party (IPP) has indicated that he would accept an appointment from the Nana Akufo-Addo lead government if he is offered one.
According to Kofi Akpaloo, he shares the ideology of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and would work with the best of his ability to benefit of all Ghanaians.
He disclosed this when speaking to the media on the sideline of the NPP Volta Regional rally at Aflao-Avoeme in the Ketu South Constituency on Sunday.
"Am looking forward to Nana Akufo-Addo to deliver so people nationwide will benefit from his government. I am not expecting any appointment but if he gives me one, I will serve with the best of my ability but I am not going to force him to give me any appointment," he mentioned.
"We are talking about creating jobs, having a new plan for jobs and wealth creation, they [NPP] are talking about agenda for jobs and also we promised building 250 factories across the country and they talking about building factories in each district so you can see that we resonate, we are doing the same thing," he said.
He indicated that he would contribute to the intensifying campaign in the Volta Region for the NPP to ensure Nana Akufo-Addo wins massively in the Volta region because he hails from the region.
Kofi Akpaloo who threw his support behind Nana Akufo-Addo after he was disqualified by the Electoral Commission (EC) from contesting the presidential election detailed he has not dissolved his party.
He says he would go back to strategise for the 2020 general elections immediately after the December polls.
Kofi Akpaloo joined Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP to kick-start regional rallies nationwide.
The maiden edition was held in Aflao-Avoeme on the theme "The role of the Voltarian and agenda for jobs."
