The Ghana Journalists Association is hoping to meet the Bureau of National Investigations over the arrest and detention of the editor of the Day break newspaper.
Prince Prah was arrested last week after he published a story suggesting that the President will soon sack the Chief of Defence Staff.
The Presidency has since denied the publication.
The BNI has been severely criticized for its handling of the matter.
GJA President, Ransford Tetteh tells Joy News the association yesterday met Prince Prah over the matter.
He said the association was concerned about the professional conduct of some of its members stressing the need for journalists to be careful in their reportage.
The GJA President however maintained the security agencies have no right to treat journalists with high-handedness in the execution of their duties.
