They have been dropping hints of a possible performance together and many waited with bated breath to see that union come to fruition.
To some, the arch enemies, Samini and Shatta Wale, performing together was a near impossibility considering the fact that they have for several years flayed each over who is supreme when it comes to Dancehall music in Ghana.
The acts, after years of a never-ending beef, smoked the peace pipe on social media when Shatta Wale turned 32 on October 17.

After that truce, there were calls for them to perform on the same stage. Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., accepted the challenge and hinted that he might be the surprise act at this year’s Saminifest musical concert hosted by Samini.

Midway through Samini’s performance, he paused and announced that, “Today the biggest thing is about to happen in Ghana. Peace is what we need going into the 2016 Elections and as a sign of unity my brother Shatta Wale is joining me on stage.”
Samini and Shatta Wale have for some time now been preaching peace to their fans and the general public ahead of the December 7 polls.
The two artistes have been using their influence to urge their fans and Ghanaians to maintain the peace the country is enjoying by not engaging in violence.
Samini and Shatta Wale both dished out songs from each’s music catalogue not forgetting dissed songs - including ‘Scatta Badmind’ by Samini and ‘Papa Twitter’ by Shatta Wale - they recorded to jab each other.
Just when the teeming patrons thought they had seen and heard it all, the two acts disclosed that they will release a collaboration and a possible world tour soon after that.
