A statement received in Accra on Monday from Ghana's mission in Kuala Lumpur, said Mr Abodakpi underscored the importance Ghana attached to its relations with Brunei.
He assured the Sultan of the Ghana government's commitment to further deepen the ties between the two countries, especially in the area of economic and technical co-operation.
Mr Abodakpi also briefed the Sultan on current political and economic developments in Ghana and the efforts the government was making to put Ghana's economy on a sound footing.
The Sultan noted with gratification the value Ghana attached to the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries and said enhancing economic, trade and technical cooperation between the two countries in the spirit of South-South Cooperation was very important.
He said such cordial relations and mutual goodwill would help strengthen the relations and cooperation in various fields of endeavour at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
Mr Adodakpi later met with Ghanaian students studying in Brunei Darussalam and assured them of his Mission's readiness to offer the necessary consular assistance when needed.
