The Ghana Immigration Service has begun investigations into how a biometric passport was issued to a Nigerian national.
Henry Ude was arrested in possession of the Ghanaian passport at the Kotoka International Airport.
The Service concedes it is possible some of its officers connived to illegally issue the passport.
Head of Public Affairs, Francis Palmdeti told Joy News no passport officer will be spared if found culpable.
The introduction of the biometric passport was expected to stop the illegal acquisition of Ghanaian passports.
Mr. Palmdeti says the incident does not question the credibility of the new documents.
