The police are on the hunt for a 22-year-old man who allegedly killed his father in a family dispute.
The incident happened at Gbi-Wegbe in the Hohoe Municipality of the Volta region over the weekend.
Bright Awume is said to have struck his father with an iron bar several times in the ribs, shoulder and wrist, sending him into a coma.
46-year old Johnson Kofi Awume, a farmer was pronounced dead when his son and alleged killer sent him to a herbalist after the fight.
He has since gone into hiding.
Hohoe District Police Commander, Wilsom Kudze who confirmed the incident to Joy News, says the police are on the suspect’s tail.
