The family of the man who died in the recent disturbances in Tamale following the acquittal of the 15 suspects in the Ya-Na murder trial is accusing the police of causing his death. Safianu Adam died last Tuesday after some youth, incensed by the court ruling went on rampage burning NDC party offices in Tamale. The police have already denied responsibility. According to the PRO of the Northern Regional Command, Ebenezer Tetteh, the deceased was stabbed. But a brother of the deceased, Haruna Mohammed Mbodiba disagrees. He told Northern Regional correspondent, Mahama Shaibu that the physical signs he saw on the victim clearly indicates he was shot.
