Government has lifted a curfew imposed on Tamale and its environs.
The seven hour curfew was imposed following the violent disturbances that greeted the acquittal and discharge by a High Court of suspects charged with the murder of the Ya-Na Yakubu Andani.
Angry Andani youth went on rampage in Tamale destroying NDC party offices. One person died in the violence.
Deputy Interior Minister, Kobby Acheampong, says the curfew has been lifted following an improvement in the security situation.
