Ghanaians have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children living with Autism by supporting ‘The Fab Christmas Market’ which comes off on Saturday, December 17.

This is a one-stop shop to purchase gifts and treats for loved ones, colleagues, family, friends and self under one roof while supporting a worthy cause.

The event which takes place at 8th Volta Street near the National Service Secretariat, Airport would have vendors like MAKSI, Clean Eats, Slay Africa, All Natural Products, Jenny’s Sorrel, Minga Foods, Q’ticules, Skin Gourmet, Kossiwa Mode, and Juju’s Khebabs partaking.

Proprietor of MAKEDA, Nana Darkoa Sekyiamah told Joy News that the event aims to provide Ghanaians with a "fun Christmas shopping event whilst making a difference to the children of Autism Awareness Care and Training (AACT)."

According to her, a portion of the proceeds from the event would go to works of AACT. The money would go into sponsoring the school fees of children with autism.

He encouraged Ghanaians to invite their friends to attend the market and support AACT in a variety of ways.

Alternatively, well meaning Ghanaians and philanthropists could gift the centre with student chairs/desks, toiletries, laptops, printer ink, laminator and sensory toys.

Also, items like velcro, board games, sports balls, bicycles, tricycles, water hose, water sprinklers, trampoline, A4 sheets, exercise books, markers, crayons, monthly Internet fee, and plastic bowls could be given to the group.
