A 35-year old woman together with her 5-year old son died on the spot when packed bags of cement collapsed on them at Bremang in Kumasi on Thursday dawn.
Mary Kebi and her son Kwame Philimon were sleeping in a wooden structure containing the cement when the disaster struck in the early hours Thursday.
Neighbours say the deceased had been living there for some time now with the consent of the owner who used the structure as a storeroom.
A consignment of cement discharged into the room yesterday later fell on them.
The bodies of the two have been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital while the Suame Police begins investigations.
