Inspirational Joyful Way Inc. is set to dazzle gospel music lovers with their soothing and soul-inspiring tracks at the Tesano Baptist Church.
The musical concert which will also feature another gospel music sensation, Eugene Zuta, is under the auspices of the Ghana Bible Society and is geared towards raising funds for its “One Million Bible for JHS pupils project.”
The project began in 2007 and through several initiatives the Society bought 800,000 bibles, 200,000 shy of its intended target.
The 800,000 bibles have already been distributed as at May, 2011.
The musical concert scheduled for 31st of July, 2011, will be used to raise an amount of 1,600,00.00, for the purchase of the remaining bibles.
That is, 200,000 bibles at GHS8.00 per unit.
Whilst enjoying the stupendous rendition from Joyful Way Inc. and praising the Almighty God in the process, patrons of the concert will be contributing in no small way to getting bibles to needy JHS students.
Ticket for the concert is a token GHS 20.00 and it will start at at 5:00 pm prompt.
Promotions & Resource Mobilisation Manager at the Bible Society, Kafui Agormeda-Tetteh told Myjoyonline.com the objective of the project is to reach out to many young people who are out of primary school with the word of God.
“It is hoped that by this project the children will be given a legacy of hope in the Word of God,” she noted.
Asked if there were other plans to ensure the pupils actually read the Bible they receive, Agormeda-Tetteh said the Society has considered a follow-up and an outreach programme to imbibe in the students the need to read the Bible at all times.
She insisted however that the first objective is to make the Bible available to them. “Let’s leave a Bible legacy,” to the children, she urged.
