The Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra marked this year's May Day by hosting the Selewa African Market which afforded over 30 vendors the opportunity to display and sell their products to customers.
One of Ghana's foremost hotels joined the Selewa pop-up market also helped vendors to generate leads for their various products.
The goods on display included authentic African fabrics and clothes, exquisite beads, footwear, natural skin and hair products, paintings and sculpture were all offered at discounted prices.

The market which was scheduled to open at 12 mid-day opened at 10 a.m as shoppers mostly hotel guests couldn’t wait to grab a bargain on the beautifully handmade African goods being exhibited at the event - first of its kind at the Golden Tulip Accra.

Some of the popular brands who marked the event include, Vlisco, Balkyz, Eya Naturals, Ojeanne Clothing, Gold Coast Miniatures and Enam African Collection among others.

Beyond the buying and selling, there were side attractions which included a children’s play area, good live band music and a poolside bar.

To climax the event, Selewa African Market featured a fashion show by models from the DSG Model Management who showcased some of the products on display at the market. It was a complete day of African glamour.

The Selewa African Market was organized via collaboration between Golden Tulip Accra and Melon Concepts, promoters of the Selewa Pop-up Market.
