Ghana’s Richard Commey (25-2, 22 KO’) is eyeing a battle with British prospect Luke Campbell (17-1, 14 KO’s).
Th former world contender is optimistic he will take down Campbell who is being promoted by one of the best promoters in the world Eddie Hearn.
Commey is currently ranked number 6 by the World Boxing Council (WBC) in the lightweight division, while Campbell is four places above the James Town native.
“Campbell is a talented boxer no waste about that, but i have the quality to beat him, i want to fight him and his handlers should make it happen,” Commey told Sportscrusader.com.
“I have watched Campbell and i think, he is being protected, they have to allow him to fight the best. I know him very well and when i get him he will fell my power. I’m have called him several times and he is yet to respond to my calls but i’m confident i will fight him.”
Commey defeated Hedi Slimani two months ago at the Bukom Boxing Arena to win the vacant WBC international silver lightweight belt.
