Some manufacturers in the Foods and Beverage Industry have implored government to maintain economic and power stability in the sector to boost their operations.
The Ghanaian beverage industry has for many years played a significant role in contributing not only to the general nutrition of Ghanaians but the overall development of the Ghanaian economy.
Speaking to JOYBUSINESS at the rebranding of non-alcoholic malt beverage, Beta Malt, Country Director of Accra Brewery Limited, Philip Redman said government needs to ensure that the sector enjoys some benefits.
He said government should alleviate some challenges in the business environment although economic and power stability in the will enable them to enjoy some level of growth.
Mr Redman said they have a significant bank of generators to keep them running in times of power outages but they are hopeful of stable power supply.
One of Ghana’s premier brewery, Accra Brewery Limited, (ABL), launched a new brand campaign for its non-alcoholic malt beverage, Beta Malt, dubbed “The Only Way is UP.”
The campaign is to encourage the youth to choose Beta Malt as their brand of choice in their ascent to greatness.
Beta Malt was launched about two years ago and has achieved significant success especially amongst Ghanaians in need of nourishing refreshment because of its handy 330ml PET pack.
Mr Redman reaffirmed the company’s commitment to investing in its capacity in order to satisfy its increasing number of consumers and in turn contribute to the growth of the Ghanaian economy.
He said the growth of Beta Malt is a testament to the fact that ABL is a major force to be reckoned with in the non-alcoholic beverage industry in the country.
He expressed delight at the combined efforts of management and staff of the company that championed the research and development of Beta Malt leading to great success in the non-alcoholic Malt category and contributing to growth in ABL’s market share since its launch.
“The launch of this campaign which features the new look label lends credence to the company’s culture of focus and zero complacency to guarantee lasting competitive advantage”, he said.
Mr Redman praised shareholders, distributors, management and staff for their loyalty and support for the business.
