Sensational hiplife artiste, Obrafour has confirmed that he will be performing at the first ever Ghana Music and Food Festival scheduled to come off at the Accra International Trade Fair on October 29.
Obrafour who described the maiden event, expected to be Ghana’s foremost music, food, culture and lifestyle, as “a laudable idea to project our identity as Ghanaians” is promising to bring his best to bare calling on other musicians to make this event a priority.
According to the man widely tagged as the Ghana Rap Sofo, the event will be an international reference point for Ghanaian music and food. “Food is part of happiness in life,” he said adding, “but having your favorite music alongside your favorite food is a big bonus.”
Obrafour well noted for his love for tradition however called on organizers to make sure every Ghanaian dish and local food is available at the Festival grounds.
The multiple award winning artiste who has offered music lovers chart topping hits and energetic stage performances over the years promised festival attendees nothing but the best.
“I will be at the Festival grounds to give a signature to the very first edition of this festival with my performance and I would encourage other artistes on the bill to do same. It will be nostalgic to get the chance to also savor the very best in traditional music live on one stage. Those inspire me a lot.”
Although Obrafour had a hard task of identifying which is his favorite local food, he ran through a maze of them.
“I am huge follower of the Fufu clan but Oto (mashed cooked yam with oil laced with stew and boiled eggs) does the trick for me any day. My switch to Chinese food sees me mixing rice with Kontomire (spinach leaves) stew. Bankye (cassava) Ampesi was number one for me when I was growing up and I still love it,” he confessed.
Obrafour is part of a long list musicals acts, old and new, billed to thrill patrons at the maiden Ghana Music and Food Festival.
The event put together by Konsule Entertainment will see the likes of Nana Kwame Ampedu, Dr. Paa Bobo, Abrekyiba Kofi Sammy, Obouba J.A. Adofo, A.B. Crentil, R2Bees, D. Cryme, Obrafour, Okyeame Kwame, Reggie Rockstone, Atumpan, Ohemaa Mercy, Ernest Opoku, Christiana Love, Florence Obinim, Cecilia Marfo, No Tribe, Bernard Blessing, Bernice Ofei, D.S.P Kofi Sarpong and several others dishing out non-stop music to patrons.
