Atwima Kwanwoma Rural Bank is set to roll out social intervention programmes to improve conditions in Muslim and other deprived communities in its operational area.
Though figures are not readily available, management says this will be the biggest intervention to help improve lives in mostly deprived communities.
The bank’s education support scheme which has already seen construction and renovation of schools as well as scholarship for individuals at all levels of education, will receive a boost to cover more communities.
Head of Operations, Samuel Owusu Sekyere who reveals this says the package which will cover education, health and business start-up stimulus, will support needy communities in the bank’s operational areas.
This according to him, is to help improve lives and bring hope to the deprived and needy members of society.

The Bank, as part of its commitment to supporting the Muslim community has presented some food items worth thousands of Ghana cedis to Muslims in their catchment areas in the period of the Ramadan fast.
Similar gestures have been extended to other operational areas of the bank in the Ashanti region in support of Muslims as they go through fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.
Mr. Owusu Sekyere says besides improving lives in Muslim communities and fostering good relationship with the Muslim communities, it is also to seek God’s favour for the bank’s success.
“Since we work with the Muslim community and sometimes they are deprived, it is important that we help them develop and alleviate poverty in these communities”, he said.
A member of the leadership of the Old Tafo Muslim Community, Zakaria Abdul Rahman received the donation on behalf of the community.
He was grateful to the corporate institution for the gesture.
