Residents of Mangoase Junction, a farming community in Nkoranza District have decided to construct a four-bedroom house to accommodate teachers at the District Assembly's Primary School.
Mr Kwabena Kyeremeh, Assemblyman for the area said that the project was estimated at GH¢2,000 (20 million cedis).
He said it was being financed through special contributions of GH¢ five (50,000 cedis) a man and GH¢ three (30,000 cedis) a woman in addition to communal labour.
Mr Kyeremeh who is also Circuit Supervisor in-charge of Kranka Circuit, commended the people for their 'self help' spirit because most teachers had refused postings to the area due to lack of accommodation.
He called on Mr James Kwabena Appiah-Awuah, Nkoranza District Chief Executive and Major Derek Oduro (Rtd) Member of Parliament for Nkoranza North to assist the people with building materials to augment their efforts.
