The people of Oyibi in the Kpone-Katamanso Traditional Area of the Greater Accra Region have out- doored a new chief to fill a vacant stool which had been lying idle for the past 12 years.
Mr Christopher Oko Boye, farmer, 45, was out-doored under the stool name Nii Boye Okansha VI amid pomp and pageantry.
In an address at the ceremony, Nii Okansha thanked the people for the confidence reposed in him and asked for their co-operation so that they could speed up the development of the town.
He appealed to youth to eschew laziness and anti-social activities and work hard towards the development of the community.
Nii Okansha also appealed to the government to support the people to set up small-scale industries in the area to provide job avenues to the citizens especially the youth to stem the rural urban migration.
He also appealed to the people not to fan chieftaincy disputes as such acts impeded peace and stalled development.
