Star Actress Juliet Ibrahim has together with the core members of her newly formed foundation, the Juliet Ibrahim Foundation (JIF), attended the just ended International Kidney Cancer Coalition Conference (IKCC) in the Italian capital, Rome.
The team’s participation at the conference brought to the fore some challenges facing kidney cancer patients in Ghana.
Juliet was inspired by the work set forth by the IKCC and other organizations such as pharmaceutical companies and other advocacy groups.
It was a great learning and networking experience for the young foundation as it prepares to leverage the resources from the conference to help those in need in and around Ghana.
Juliet gave a presentation on the mission of her foundation and debuted her music video which appears to have been the toast of the conference. She also partook in small knowledge-based sessions focusing on resource management and distribution.
Juliet is eagerly interested in action-driven solutions and the IKCC conference experience satisfies this urge.
The Juliet Ibrahim Foundation will be visiting hospitals in Ghana where Kidney Cancer patients are treated.
The foundation wants to network area hospitals so that information dissemination is streamlined between care centers and patients with the hope that best practices are achieved along the care continuum.
IKCC is an independent and democratic network of patient support and advocacy organizations established with the mission of improving the quality of life of patients and their families living with kidney cancer. IKCC provides information, support and assistance to national kidney cancer organizations.
