Shareholders of Produce Buying Company have given its board approval to change the firm’s name to PBC.This will enable the company to venture into other areas apart from its traditional cocoa buying business.Speaking to Joy Business after an AGM, the Managing Director, Kojo Atta Krah said this should help the company transform its income base.The country’s biggest licenced cocoa buyer saw a substantial growth in all areas of operations for last year.Its revenue went up by a little over 100 per cent whilst profit after tax shot up by 95 per cent to 27 million cedis.Shareholders are to enjoy 17 pesewas as dividend for every share held.
