Hearts of Oak playmaker Winful Cobbinah's proposed move to Danish side Viborg FF has fallen through after he failed a mandatory medical, according to multiple reports.

Cobbinah was expected to sign a two-year deal but Viborg FF has decided to opt out due to the player's fitness.

The 26-year old travelled to the European country two weeks ago to finalise the move after Viborg FF agreed terms with Hearts of Oak.

Hearts and Viborg had agreed on a fee of about €75,000 with an expected 10% onward fee to be paid if Cobbinah puts pen to paper.

Viborg had been monitoring Cobbina since his return to the Ghanaian topflight after a failed stint in Asia.

However, Viborg were blown away by his impressive performances in 2017 Wafu Cup which the Black Stars B won on home soil.

Cobbinah was terrific in the heart of Hearts midfield as the Phobians secured a top-four spot and reached the FA Cup for the first in over a decade.

He is expected to rejoin Hearts of Oak as they continue preparations for the new season.
