Nigerian music star 2Face Idibia, according to reports, on Wednesday, May 2, secretly wedded his longtime fiancée, Annie Macaulay in Nigeria.
The two legalised their union at a private registry wedding in Lagos.
2Face had assured his undying love for Annie when he brought her on stage at his ‘Buckwyld and Breathless‘ concert at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island in Lagos a night before the wedding.
This will put to rest the lingering question of whom and when the musician will be marrying after speculations of him being linked to several females.
After speculations, 2Face took to twitter to confirm the wedding ceremony.
He tweeted that “Hello beautiful pple of the republic! It is true! It is official! Annie and I r legally married! Thanx 4 your support and best wishes.” That tweet received several congratulatory messages from hundreds of his followers.
The relationship between the African Queen star born Innocent Ujah Idibia and Annie is one that existed without drama.
The two are believed to have dated for 13 years and have a daughter, Isabella Idibia, together.
She appeared in the pop star’s first hit song’s video African Queen released in 2004.
2Face proposed to Annie with a diamond studded engagement ring believed to be worth one million Naira on Valentine’s Day, February 14 at Jay Jay Okocha‘s Club 10 in Lagos even though he was also reported to have fathered children with Pero Adeniyi and Sumbo Ajaba.
