Either King Faisal or Sekondi Hasaacas could gain promotion to the Premier League after they both won their second-straight matches in the Division One League play-offs on Sunday.
A 3-1 win against Tarkwa United puts King Faisal in pole position of the Zone II standings as the Kumasi-based club only need a draw to return to the Premier League next season.
Eugene Prempeh, Farouk Mohammed and Sulley Mohammed all scored as Faisal came from a goal down - scored by Tarkwa's Isaac Oduro - to win the game at the Tema Stadium.
Hasaacas, a former premiership campaigner defeated Gold Stars 1-0 at the El-Wak Stadium to set up a thrilling finish on Wednesday against Faisal in the concluding fixtures of the promotion league.
Jerry Ikaye was on target for Hasaacas.
Both sides are on six points but Hasaacas need a win in their last match to secure their place ahead of King Faisal, who hold a better goal difference.
The club with the most points after three rounds of matches will make it to the topflight league.
