Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, on Thursday, presented government’s Mid-Year budget review of the 2018 budget to Parliament.
Among other things he revealed that the economic outlook was difficult, growth outlook has weakened and asked state agencies to cut expenditure to meet revenue shortfalls.
He also said the NPP inherited a distressed economy, but after one year of implementation of the IMF programme, fiscal deficit has declined.
He announced a $2 billion deal with Sinohydro Company Ltd to bridge an estimated $30 billion infrastructure deficit.
