Ghana midfielder Enoch Adu Kofi says he is optimistic of a successful UEFA Champions league campaign as his club side Nordsjaelland visit Shakhtar Donetsk of Russia on Wednesday in their group opener of this season’s Champions league.
The Danish champions who are making their debut Champions league appearance are hoping to cause a major upset haven been drawn in a tough group alongside defending champions Chelsea, Juventus and Shakhtar Donetsk.
Adu Kofi who signed a two- year extension last week in an interview with JOY Sports noted that, they are not intimidated by any of these sides who have vast experience in the European football tournament.
“We know it will be very tough but this is football and we are determined to treat every game with all seriousness in order to get wins,” said Adu Kofi
“We will work very hard and hopefully we will get the win to start our campaign on a strong footing.”
Enoch Adu Kofi is also keenly following developments within the national team and steadfastly praying for Coach Kwesi Appiah to extend his scouting network to Denmark and therefore his games for Norksjaeland.
