Eight foreign based players have been invited to join the camp of the National Under 23 team, the Black Meteors ahead of their Olympic Games qualifier against Ivory Coast on February 6.
The eight include two players Asamoah Gyan and Haminu Dramani who will now be excluded from the Black Stars’ international friendly with Nigeria on the same date.
The rest include former Premier League Goal King Prince Tagoe, Emmanuel Boakye (Holland), Abubakar Mohammed (Holland), Nana Kwasi Asare (Belgium), Samuel Yeboah (Israel) and Yaw Kumoji (Greece).
The Meteors who have set up a one week camp in Bolgatanga will play two matches against Premier League side RTU and Catholic Stars, a Division One side before leaving for the Ivorian capital, Abidjan.
