Rlg Communications has presented a brand new Nissan sunny 2012 model to the Ministry of Education for use as third prize for this year’s National Best Teacher Awards scheme due to be held in Kumasi on October 5.
Rlg will also give a laptop to each of the regional best teachers to be awarded during the 18th Edition of the awards scheme.
In all, Rlg Communications is supporting the awards scheme with sponsorship valued at some GHC 70,000. It is the second time that Rlg is supporting the Best Teacher Awards.
The Chief Commercial Officer of Rlg, Archibald Annan handed over keys to the vehicle to the Chief Director of Ministry of Education, Major Rtd. Mahama Tara at a brief ceremony in Accra.
Archibald Annan said the crucial role of the teacher towards development is worth celebrating, hence the decision by Rlg to work with government to improve education delivery focusing on the teacher and the pupil.
Major Rtd. Tara commended Rlg for exemplary show of patriotism in Ghana.
President John Mahama is expected to decorate award-winning teachers in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi on October 5, 2012.
