Sensational reggae musician and host of Taxi Driver on Hitz FM, Blakk Rasta and Nigerian reggae artiste, Ras Kimono will jointly headline a musical concert to climax this year’s Odwira Festival.
The concert, dubbed Odwira Reggae Festival comes off at the Aburi Gardens on Saturday, October 6.
Apart from Blakk Rasta and Ras Kimono, other artistes billed to perform at the concert include, Nana Fynn, Ras Kuuku, Fiifi Selah, Kwame Partan Osagyefo, Sheriff Ghale, Chizzy Wailer and the Vibration Kings.
The concert is under the theme: Reggae for positive defiance against corrupt leadership, and is expected to attract hundreds of reggae music enthusiasts.
Several personalities including, Rita Marley, wife of reggae legend Bob Marley, and Nana Djan Kwesi II of Aburi will also be in attendance.
Blakk Rasta told Hitz Entertainment News, the show “is going to be the biggest locally organized reggae festival ever. 17 reggae artistes on one stage and when I say reggae, I mean reggae. I am not talking about adulterated reggae; I am talking about the qualitative reggae, tight conscious reggae.”
