Liberty Professionals will rue their failure to convert their first half domination into goals after King Faisal rallied back to draw 1-1 on Saturday in the opening fixture of the Glo Premier League.
A 13th minute opener by Kennedy Ashia who capitalized on a defensive error to score at the Carl Reindorf Park was greeted by laud applause from the home supporters.
But Liberty's lead was cancelled out after the break when second half substitute Prince Boateng let go a long range effort from outside the penalty box to beat goalkeeper Daniel Agyei in the 71st minute to hand Faisal a share of the spoils.
The charged game which drew five cautions saw the home team, Liberty, picking three bookings as either side utilized their all their options on the bench.
But the visitors will pat themselves for a spirited performance that ensured that they picked a point on their first travel.
Faisal, who are making their return to the top flight will play their first home game next weekend when they host Tema Youth at the Baba Yara Stadium.
