Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has hailed Kwadwo Asamoah’s return to the senior national team, Black Stars ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya.
The Inter Milan midfielder has ended his four year’s self-imposed exile by accepting to be part of Kwesi Appiah’s 21-man squad for next month’s assignment in Nairobi.
The 29-year-old last played for the Black Stars against Portugal at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

"It's good he's back in the team. Kwadwo Asamoah is a good player and anytime he is invited he gives out his best," Kwesi Appiah.
"I don't know, I wasn't here during Avram Grant's time so can't tell whether he invited him or not. But when I came, I invited him for my first assignment but he pleaded for some time because he was fighting to recapture his position at Juventus."
"Kwadwo told me that at the end of the season, he will leave Juventus so when he leaves automatically he will come," Appiah added.
It is reported that in the absence of captain Asamoah Gyan and his deputy Andre Ayew, Asamoah will be handed the armband to lead Black Stars against the Harambee Stars on 8 September.
Ghana will be hoping for a second straight victory after beginning their qualifying campaign with a 5-0 win over Ethiopia in July 2017.
Sierra Leone are the fourth team in qualifying Group F with the top two sides progressing to the finals in Cameroon in 2019.
