CAF has suspended two players from Moroccan club Maghreb Association Sportive of Fez for using racial slurs on a referee during a Confederation Cup match in July.
The report said the Angolan referee of the MAZ Fes - AC Leopards Dolosie game played on July 14 was verbally assaulted by Rachid Dahmani and Omar Nemssaoui, who have been handed five and four match suspensions respectively.
The CAF disciplinary commission also fined MAZ Fes $100,000 (R876, 000) for the attitude of its players and local fans during the meeting.
The Yellow Tigers won the 2011 CAF Confederation Cup and the 2012 CAF Super Cup, and finished sixth in the last Botola League.
