The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it has finalized arrangements for a candlelight vigil in honour of former Vice President, Aliu Mahama at the party’s headquarters.
The party earlier Saturday opened a book of condolence at its headquarters as well as regional party offices across the country to enable party sympathizers as well as the general public pay their last respect to the late Vice President.
The party’s second Vice Chairman, Fred Oware told Joy News, all is set for the vigil.
He said, “We have already finished decorating the national office to welcome party members and the general public who may want to join us this evening to honour our fallen former Vice President Aliu Mahama.”
Mr. Oware added that the party has had meetings with the family of the late former Vice President and government towards Sunday’s burial ceremony.
