A losing candidate in the race for the New Patriotic Party chairmanship slot has lavished praise on the party for supervising an incident-free election.
Stephen Ntim who is facing his third successive defeat for the chairmanship position said even though his "team has lost the party has won."
"We have been able to elect new set of executives without any acrimony, fights" he noted and thanked the delegates on behalf of all the losing candidates.
Stephen Ntim put up a massive fight but lost marginally to Paul Afoko who was eventually elected as party chair.
He polled 1,500 votes, 520 less than that of Paul Afoko. Incumbent Jake Obetsebi Lamptey could only manage a paltry 66 votes. Fred Oware also garnered 1,135 votes.

He admonished the party to turn its attention to the 2016 elections.
"We look forward to winning 2016 elections," he said.
