A strategic partnership between ABB and Jual Group Ghana Limited has been announced to accelerate Ghana’s transition towards sustainable electrification.
The agreement was unveiled in a meeting held in Accra over the weekend as part of efforts to address the country’s increasing energy demands through the integration of ABB’s advanced electrical systems and automation technologies with Jual Group’s local expertise.
A commitment to strengthening Ghana’s energy infrastructure through innovative and efficient solutions was expressed by the parties.

Emphasis was placed on the delivery of reliable systems that are tailored to the specific needs of the Ghanaian market. The collaboration has been framed as a model of global and local synergy designed to support national energy objectives.
Sustainability and innovation were highlighted as central pillars of the initiative. Smart power and modern building solutions are expected to be deployed under the partnership, enabling the integration of renewable energy and the improvement of overall energy efficiency.
The long-term sustainability of the energy sector is also to be supported through capacity building. Technical training and knowledge transfer programmes are to be facilitated, with the goal of empowering local professionals and building in-country expertise.

The partnership has been described as a significant step towards achieving Ghana’s electrification targets. The approach being adopted is expected to promote sustainable development while also enhancing resilience within the energy system.
The announcement has been welcomed by industry observers as a demonstration of how strategic collaboration between global technology leaders and local firms can drive meaningful progress in addressing energy access and infrastructure challenges.
