Five people reportedly died and six others injured in a fatal car accident near the Buduburam camp off the Cape Coast-Accra road Monday morning.
According to an eyewitness who spoke to citi news, the accident involved a gas tanker and a tipper truck which was travelling from Kasoa to Winneba.
The tanker driver who was emerging from the Buduburam camp apparently lost control of his brakes and drove straight into the tipper truck which was heading towards Winneba.
The two trucks somersaulted, killing 5 passengers and injuring six others who were by the road side.
The injured, according to the witness have been sent to the Winneba General Hospital whilst bodies of the deceased have deposited at the mortuary.
This accident adds to a number of fatal accidents which have claimed many lives on the Winneba-Kasoa road this year.
