The Timber Market in Accra has been ravaged by fire, early Tuesday.
The blaze, which reportedly started at about 5:30am destroyed several items worth millions of cedis.

Myjoyonline.com's David Andoh reports that personnel from the Fire Service have doused the fire while their colleagues from the Police Service are also at hand ensuring security.
However, the lack of access to the market by fire fighters slowed down efforts to put the fire out.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
This is the second fire incident in Accra in a week, following last Friday's fire at the second-hand clothing line at Makola No.2 Market, which flattened several shops.
