Former Director of Police Operations, ACP Kofi Boakye, has been promoted.
The man, who was appointed to deputize as Director of Education at the Police Training School in Accra, is now head of the training in the service.
At his new post, he will be responsible for planning, monitoring, controlling and recommending training needs for the service.
Kofi Boakye was interdicted after his name came up in the infamous MV Benjamin cocaine sandal in 2006.
He was, however, reinstated in January 2009. Key suspects in case were also acquitted and discharged by the court last year.
