A member of Aduana Stars Football Club Technical Directorate, Nuru Ahmed, says the team is targeting to win the 2015-2016 Ghana Premier League, as well as other local and international competitions.
The Ghana U-17 assistant trainer is optimistic his players will mount a strong challenge come next season.
The Dormaa-based club endured a difficult time in the 2013-2014 season in which they luckily escaped relegation.
They however bounce back in splendid fashion in just-ended First Capital Plus Premier League, emerging runners-up in the campaign.
Nuru Ahmed, who formerly managed Wa All Stars, is convinced the tremendous recover puts Aduana Stars in good position to annex a major trophy in the coming season.
Though he anticipates tough challenge from other clubs, he believes Aduana Stars will hold their own against all odds.
“Aduana will be gunning for the ultimate next season. A team which nearly headed for relegation last season; and now ended in the second place at the just-ended league, I think it’s an awesome achievement,” he told told Luv Sports in Kumasi.
He concluded, “We’re looking forward to competing in Africa next year and, probably, fight for the annexation of the MTN FA Cup, as well. This is our target for now. I know it’ll be difficult as many clubs will be prepared to face Aduana, because we’re now a force to reckon with.”
