Mr Kwabena Boadu, Assemblyman for Adugyama in the Ahafo-Ano South District has presented 40 dual desks valued at GH¢300 to the local Junior High School (JHS) in the town.
He also presented school uniforms and footwear to three brilliant but needy pupils in the school.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Boadu urged the children to aim high and become useful citizens by taking their studies serious.
He appealed to the district assembly and the Member of Parliament for the area to build the proposed Jubilee school in the town since they recorded the highest enrolment of over 1000 pupils in the Adugyama circuit.
Mr Boadu said the kindergarten, which had about 200 children has no classroom block and called on the authorities to come to their aid.
He stressed the need for the extension of electricity to other parts of the community since majority of the people lived in darkness.
The assemblyman called on the people to remain upright and work hard to support the numerous development projects currently taking place in the town.
