Ghana's Kwasi Appiah will lead Sudan in Group E in the 2025 African Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The former Black Stars coach has been paired with 2019 champions, Algeria, tournament dark horses, Burkina Faso, and Equatorial Guinea.
In other pairings, Nigeria’s Super Eagles, will face Tunisia, Uganda and Tanzania in the group stages of the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, as they begin their quest for a fourth title.
The Super Eagles lost the 2023 final against Côte d’Ivoire, who will face Cameroon, Gabon and Mozambique.
Hosts nation, Morocco, returning to host the AFCON for the first time since 1988, will look to capitalize on their home advantage.
The Atlas Lions, riding high on their historic 2022 FIFA World Cup semifinal run, are among the favourites and have been drawn in Group A along with Mali, Zambia and Comoros.
Meanwhile, underdogs like Botswana, returning to the AFCON for only the second time since 2012, will face 2021 champions Senegal in Group D.

The 2025 AFCON will take place from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026, in Morocco.
