Africa Gaming and Entertainment, operators of Safaribet, an online sports betting company, has hinted that they would open 250 more outlets within 100 days in Ghana to create 1000 new permanent jobs for the youth.
This, the company says is part of efforts to contribute to the growth of the nation.
Mr Halit Karabashoglu, Chairman of Africa Gaming and Entertainment Limited, told the media at a reception in Accra that the new job opportunities would bring the total to 1,500.
He noted the company has already created 450 jobs with comfortable salaries and working conditions and is focussing on creating 4000 jobs by the close of 2017.
The figure will complete the projections made on job creation.
According Mr Karabashoglu, his outfit believes in establishing fantastic business opportunities in Ghana and this had led to the investment of two million dollars into the economy since the commencement of operations in the country.
He said the desire to expand business in Ghana was influenced by the tremendous growth of the company in the country even though it was established few months ago.
“From our modest five outlets in April, we now have 110 outlets with 20 agencies in eight of the 10 regions,” he said.
Mr Karabashoglu said available statistics show that the company’s website spends nearly 29-minutes on the site per visit, describing it as phenomenal, because it places Safaribet only behind Facebook, but above Google Ghana and all other popular websites in the country.
He noted that his outfit is finalising plans to invest in the construction of affordable houses, and renewable energy to create more jobs for Ghanaians in the near future.
