Fast growing local Airline, Africa World Air will be kick-starting an Accra - Monrovia flight service this December.
The airline will be providing a thrice-weekly service from Kotoka International Airport in Accra to Monrovia Liberia on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Speaking to Joy Business the Head of Commercial for Africa World Air Richard Kyereh said the new route is part of the Airlines expansion targets having joined the International Air Travel Association.
He said, “Our immediate work will be to mop up traffic within the continent as we grow”.
According to officials of the Airline, that Accra-Monrovia-Accra flights will depart Kotoka International Airport at 11:30hrs on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and arrive in Monrovia at 13:30hrs. The return flight will depart Monrovia at 14:10hrs and arrive in Accra at 16:10hrs.
The maiden flight for the Accra - Monrovia route will start on December 12, 2017.
Africa World Airlines Limited (AWA) is a Ghanaian registered private-sector company, which has been in operations for close to 5 years. It was formed with the sole vision of making air travel the best option for the majority of travelers within the markets in which it operates.
Africa World Airlines operates flights to three cities in Ghana namely Accra, Kumasi, Tamale and Takoradi as well as to Lagos and Abuja in Nigeria.
It is expected that the airline will expand its operations to Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Cote d’Ivoire soon.
