AFRICAMAGIC, entertainment channel on the DStv platform dedicated to African programmes were the sponsors of the Ghana Music Artiste of the Year Awards which was won by Emmanuel Samini. The category is now called Africamagic Artiste of the Year Award. Explaining the reason for the sponsorship, Hamida Suliman, General Manager for Africamagic, said “as always we would not have been able to achieve any of these milestones, without the magical support of companies such as Charterhouse, who continue to support our initiatives and objectives for the channel. We take this opportunity to extend our most sincere and warm appreciation to them and our best wishes to all the musicians who have been nominated for the category we are sponsoring.” Miss Anne Sackey, the PR Executive for Multichoice Ghana added that “The Ghana Music Awards is considered to be the biggest and most important event on the Ghanaian music industry calendar and we are proud that Africamagic is a part of this event.” This was not the first time the outfit was sponsoring a course of this nature. It successfully partnered with the Africa Movie Academy Awards for the second time this year.
